Incoming students Erasmus+ Programme

L’ Orientale takes part in many exchange programmes giving students from all over the world the opportunity to follow part of their educational programme in one of the oldest school of Oriental Studies in Europe. With its rich tradition in languages, cultural and social studies, from Europe to Asia, and from Africa to the Americas, since its very foundation our University has represented a pivotal Centre of Studies whose aim is to highlight the differences as well as the points of contact between cultures.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

*** If you wish to study at University of Naples L’Orientale under the Erasmus+ programme, first check with your home university to see if it has an agreement with our University***

Erasmus Incoming students need to be nominated by:

July 1st Fall Semester and Whole Academic Year

November 15thSpring Semester

After receiving the nominations, the International and European Project Office will check if they are acceptable in accordance with the bilateral agreement and will send to the students an e-mail with the information they need to fill in the Erasmus+ Dossier composed by:

 

 

  • Application Form

  • Learning agreement

  • Copy of ID or Passport

 

All the above mentioned documents have to be sent to: erasmus@unior.it

 

Please note:

- The application form and the learning agreement will be accepted ONLY if the original documents are typewritten, signed and stamped by the person in charge at the Home University and by the student;

- Signed documents will be sent back to the student, by email, before the students arrival and as soon as our Erasmus Istitutional Coordinator approves them;

- The official acceptance letter will be sent to the students ONLY after reception of the application documents duly signed and stamped and upon request.

Covid-19 Updates

Following the evolution of the vaccination plan and the epidemiological situation, the Italian government has introduced new rules face of the Covid-19 pandemic regarding the start of the upcoming academic year (2021-2022).

From September 1st,2021 in order to access the University buildings (classrooms, libraries and offices) it is mandatory to be in possession of the Green Pass (digital COVID vaccination certification).

Face-to-face classes have been resumed from October, 4th 2021 (exams and courses) - students have to book their seats in the classrooms until capacity is reached by using the tool prenota.unior.it. Streaming of courses is assured until December, 31st.

Prevention measures are still in force (masks and social distancing).

This page will be frequently updated with all the useful news for the Incoming students following the evolution of the situation.

The International Welcome Desk (IWD) of University of Naples L’Orientale is an outsourcing company made by a team of dedicated advisors who are committed to provide support to all Incoming Students at L’ Orientale.

The IWD provides support for:

 

  1. Codice Fiscale (an alphanumeric code of 16 characters, used also for the registration of the house contract);

  2. Residence Permit (the most important document for non-EU citizen. It is mandatory for anyone who will be in Italy for more than 90 days);

  3. Accommodation (supporting the international community of UNO in finding the right place);

  4. health insurance support (insurance that covers medical expenses that arise due to an illness);

  5. open a bank account;

  6. orientation on particular bureaucratic procedures of Italian life
